There are a couple of times during the year when you can leave your Medicare Advantage Plan. The Annual Election Period (AEP). The dates are October 15th to December 7th. Or you can leave in the open enrollment period from January 1st to March 31st. Also called the Medicare Advantage disenrollment period.

If you are in between those dates the only way you would be able to leave is if this was your first year on the Medicare Advantage plan and you want to exercise your trial right. If during that year you decide that you have changed your mind you have the ability to return to original Medicare. Not only do you have that right but you can obtain a Medicare supplement plan with no underwriting.

P.S. Sorry about the wind in the middle of the video!
