Just Part A and B
You are closing into Medicare age. 65 years old. Here comes all the mail and solicitations. You decide to forgo all of that and just enroll in Medicare Part A (Hospital) Medicare Part B (Doctors). There is no need to get anything else and you will save money. Good idea? Think again.
By not enrolling in a private Medicare Supplement plan or MediGap plan you are exposing yourself to a large amount of bills. Medicare does not pickup all of your insurance coverage. That is what the private insurance carrier does. Pay for the bills that Medicare does not.
