Just wanted to give you this update while I enjoy this little morning stroll. Covid vaccinations aren’t really readily available yet. But for you Medicare beneficiaries your may be receiving phone calls emails texts saying that you should give your Medicare ID number over to them and pay for the vaccination.
You should not do that. There are many scammers out there taking advantage of Medicare beneficiaries stating that they have to pay for their covid vaccination. You do not have to pay for your covid vaccination and you should not be providing personal information like a Medicare ID number that is personal to you. You should never share that with anyone over the phone or email or type it in anywhere.
Unless you know that source is trusted especially banking information as well. So be aware out there. I had somebody close to me who I know that got an email, and read, fill in this information here to get your covid vaccine enter your Medicare ID number and submit and not surprisingly the site went nowhere. So who has
this person’s Medicare ID number now? Who knows?
So be aware and be on the lookout and think twice just because you’re in the comfort of your own home or on the phone in your home doesn’t mean that the person on the other end is going to do the right thing many many scammers out there. They’re going to want to take advantage of the situation and probably already have
So do the right thing beware take your time, and if you’re questioning it if it doesn’t look right it probably isn’t right. So good luck and be safe.
